Reminders for Rehearsals

Just a few reminders for rehearsals this week and next.
1. All of the children will be practicing during their faith formation class this week please do everything in your power to make sure that your child attends class. This will help mass rehearsals go more smoothly.

2. Things to bring to mass rehearsals
a. your child
b. at least one parent
c. healthy individually wrapped snack food for the Thomasboro school food pantry
d. banner, if it has not been turned in
e. donation for altar flowers(optional)

3. Please try to arrive a little early for rehearsals so that we can start on time.

4. Rehearsal times are as follows:
May 10 11:00 Mass-- WEDNESDAY MAY 7 @ 7:00
May 10 2:00 Mass-- THURSDAY MAY 8 @ 6:00
May 17 11:00 Mass-- TUESDAY MAY 13@ 7:00
May 17 2:00 Mass-- THURSDAY MAY 15@ 6:00
May 18 2:30 Mass-- THURSDAY MAY 15@ 7:00

Big Oops on Dates

Parents, I have made a mistake on the green sheet that went home last week. This only affects the children at the May 10 11:00 Mass. The rehearsal for that Mass is WEDNESDAY MAY 7 at 7:00 not on Tuesday as I printed on the green sheet. Mistakes do happen and one family caught my mistake a big thank you to the Chrabaszewskis!!!
Also, Fr Jim has asked me to let the families know that those coming on Thursday for interviews please use the faith formation door. There is a wedding in the church at 4:00. Please be respectful and use the faith formation door.It will be unlocked. There wont be any access to the playground until the wedding has ended.

Green Information Sheet

Parents please make sure that you get the green information sheet from your child that they received at Faith Formation. It contains lots of important information about upcoming events. One clarification, the readers that we need will be reading either a short first reading or a one or two sentence petition.

1st communion mass

Parents we need your help, we are asking you to let us know if your child would be willing or able to read during their mass. You know your child the best, is he/she comfortable speaking in front of a big group, do they speak loudly and enunciate clearly, does your child want to do this or not? All children will have an active role in the mass so if your child is not a good one for a speaking role please do not be concerned. If your child is willing and able to read please let Mary Brigid know before April 18th via email.
Also please remember to turn in banners this coming week of April 14. There will be a box near Martha's office please place them in there. DO NOT GIVE THEM TO ANYONE PLACE THEM IN THE BOX!!!

Banner Turn-in

Parents remember that banners are not to be turned in before the week of April 14th. Due to space shortage there is no guarantee that banners won't
be lost at the church. For those parents that left them on Monday please pick up your child's banner at the next faith formation class (March 31) on the table outside of Martha's office.
There will be a well marked box for the banners the week of April 14th please place them in the box.DO NOT GIVE THEM TO ANYONE INCLUDING TEACHERS PUT YOUR CHILD'S BANNER IN THE BOX!!

First Communion Retreat Reminder

Remember that the First Communion Retreats are scheduled for this Sunday March 2 from 2:30-3:30, Thursday March 6 4:00-5:00 and Sunday March 9 2:30-3:30. If you signed up to switch to another date I have switched you to that date. You will need to bring 3 (8x10) colored felt sheets and possibly a pair of scissors and of course your child.
The Dress Lady from Glorious Gifts will be set up at the Church on March 6th from 4:00-7:00 if anyone is interested. I will be adding more information about that soon!!
If you have not turned in a Baptismal Certificate please bring that to the retreat.

Parent Meeting this week

A reminder that the parent meetings are this Thursday (1/24) at 10:00 and 6:30 and Sunday (1/27) at 2:30. The meeting will be only an hour long. Please remember to bring a wallet size photo of your child.
