First Reconciliation Celebration

This is a reminder for families with a child in the First Sacrament program of the upcoming Reconciliation Celebration.  The celebration will be in the worship space of church and will begin promptly at 10:00am on Saturday, November 21st.  Please arrive 15 minutes early to allow time to check in.  Children should dress neatly for this special celebration.

What to bring:  A copy of An Act of Contrition if your child doesn't know it by heart.

                         A copy of the child's Baptism certificate if we do not already have it on file.

As a reminder, all family members are welcome, but this is not a community celebration, and it might be best for younger children to remain at home if possible.  The celebration should last less than an hour.  We are looking forward to supporting all the children as they celebrate this special sacrament.

Reconciliation Interviews

This is to remind families with a child in the First Sacrament program of the upcoming Reconciliation interviews.  Please plan to attend with your child at the time you chose on the interview sign-up sheets.  Please enter church through the back Family Life Center door.  Please arrive on time or early!  The child will need his or her completed book and worksheets including the original prayer written by the child.

Interview Dates and times:

Thursday, October 29th  5:00 - 6:40

     - OR -

Saturday, October 31st  10:00 - 12:40

Times vary depending on the time chosen for each child.

Reconciliation Retreat

This is to remind families with a child in the First Sacrament program of the upcoming Reconciliation retreats.  At least one parent and the child who will be celebrating Reconciliation MUST attend ONE of these MANDATORY retreats.

The retreat will last for 90 minutes.  Please arrive 15 minutes early to allow time for check-in.  You do not need to bring anything with you to this retreat.  No make-up dates will be offered for this retreat.  Failure to attend one of these mandatory retreats will jeopardize your child's placement in the First Sacrament program.

First Reconciliation Parent Meeting

This is a reminder for families with a child in the First Sacrament program of the upcoming mandatory parent meeting.  At this meeting you will receive materials and information that are needed for working with your child in preparation for the celebration of the sacrament of Reconciliation.  At least one parent MUST attend ONE of these mandatory meetings.  The meeting is for parents only.  There will be no make-up dates offered for this meeting.  Failure to attend one of theses mandatory meetings will jeopardize your child's placement in the First Sacrament program.
